Itinerary

Day 1 :
Cairo

Arrival Day.
There are no planned activities until you meet your guide in the evening.

If this is often your first visit to Cairo, we highly recommend that you simply book an airport transfer.
Optional activities-Day 1:
  • Islamic and Coptic Cairo Tour 60 USD per person

Explore Cairo’s fascinating architectural, cultural, and historical contrasts on a tour of Coptic and Islamic Cairo. Visit the iconic Citadel of Saladin, the Mohamed Ali Mosque, the Hanging Church, St. Sergius Church, and Ben Ezra Synagogue.

Enjoy a guided tour of the Egyptian Museum before a visit to the good Pyramid of Giza and therefore the Sphinx. Catch an overnight train to Aswan.
Visit the Egyptian Museum then head to the pyramids and soak within the history of these majestic structures.
Then, In the evening, board an overnight train to Aswan. The overnight train may be a modern air-conditioned sleeper, with twin-berth beds. There is no shower within the cabin, but each cabin does have a sink. The shared toilet is at the top of every carriage. A basic airline-style tray meal for dinner and breakfast is included. Attendants can serve drinks in your compartment at extra cost or there's a bar car for socializing.

Day 3 :
Aswan

Explore the busy Aswan market and visit the beautiful Philae Temple, before visiting a Nubian village and enjoying a home-cooked dinner with a local family.
The train is due to arrive in Aswan early in the morning, but, trains can hourly be delayed. Enjoy some free time within the morning to browse the souk or walk along the Nile.
Thereafter, board a boat to reach one of the multiple Nile islands and visit a Nubian village. Walk around the small community, either enjoy a traditional dinner at a local home.

  • Motor Boat ride to Nubian Village
  • Board a local boat, to take a trip along the majestic Nile, with views of the Aga Khan Mausoleum and Kitchener Island. Stop on one of the inhabited Nile islands in this region, to explore a local Nubian village. Walk through the village and fields and learn further about the life of the Nubian people before enjoying a tasty traditional dinner at a local home.

Explore the Souk at your relaxation, absorbing the fragrance and colors of spices and aromas, and scavenging through excellent scarves and baskets.
  • Philae Temple Tour 50 USD per person

Sail across the Nile to the excellent island of Agilkia and investigate the Greco Roman history of the Temple of Philae, constructed as a devotion to the Goddess Isis. This sanctuary complex was moved from its unique area on the Island of Philae after the flooding of Lake Nasser, the word"Philae" meaning"the line or the end" concerning this current island's position on what was once the southernmost boundary of Egypt.

Day 4 :
Aswan

Go through the day exploring Aswan.

One of the most interesting sights in the city is the Temple of Abu Simbel. Later, decide on a half-day visit through the Unfinished Obelisk, High Dam, and Philae Temple. Visit the new Nubian Museum to study Aswan's local people.

Part historic monument and part modern marvel, Abu Simbel is one of Egypt’s grandest temples. Built during the rule of Ramses the II this structure was almost swallowed by the Nile, but now stands safe and sound because of some crafty archaeologists and UNESCO. Travel through Egypt’s rugged landscapes and therefore the towering figures of Ramses himself, Ra-Horakhty, Amun, and Ptah will all be waiting to welcome you.

After breakfast, you drive to Enjoy a visit to Kom Ombo Temple prior to heading to Luxor. A guided tour will be providing. Once you arrive in Luxor, visit the Temple of Karnak.

  • Kom Ombo Temple Tour

Enjoy a tour of this temple located on a phenomenal spot, right on the banks of the Nile. The temple was dedicated to the crocodile god (Sobek), and you can still see the remains of an ancient mummified crocodile that was worshipped here thousands of years ago.
Please note, there is an additional 50 Egyptian pound fee to take photos in the Crocodile museum.

  • Karnak Temple Tour

Enjoy an informative tour in Karnak Temple, which was once the main center of all religious life in ancient Egypt. Founded and extended by successive generations of great Kings, admire the amazing architecture, massive columns, gigantic statues, and painted hieroglyphs.

In the afternoon enjoy exploring the city.

Day 7 :
Luxor

Enjoy a guided tour within the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut, and therefore the Colossi of Memnon. On the West Bank of the Nile Enjoy lunch with a local family.
Cross to the West Bank. Descend down the narrow corridors and inspect the tombs of the pharaohs at the Valley of the Kings. Enjoy your breakfast and cross the Nile to the West Bank, passing through farmers' fields on the way to the valley of the kings.
Descend the narrow, rock-hewn corridors and absorb the magnificent decoration and styles of the tombs of the pharaohs. while the priceless treasure has now all gone, the royal tombs contain the incredible paintings of the lifetime of their incumbent and stories from the 'Book of the Dead'.
Continue on to go to the impressive Funerary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, which seems to rise out of the encompassing limestone outcrops - a reminder of the facility women held in the Ancient Kingdom. End your day with a short stop at the two mammoth statues of Amenophis II at the Colossi of Memnon.

Day 8 :
Luxor

Take a final free day in Luxor to explore any last-second sights in this mythical town. choose to check out the local bazaar to pick up a last-second souvenir.

  • Explore Luxor City

There is plenty to see and do in Luxor, and we wanted to make sure that you had some time to take it all in. Feel free to relax or try optional activities like marveling at colored hieroglyphs at the Temple of Medinat Habu, getting lost in the bazaar, and learn about ancient Egyptian tricks at the Mummification Museum. Your guide has fresh ideas if you need them. Just ask!

  • Luxor Temple and Museum Tour 60 USD per person

Explore the towering walls and pillars of the Luxor Temple, and absorb the gorgeous view of the Nile followed by a visit to the Luxor museum including a tremendous collection of ancient artifacts carefully moved from the Theban temples and necropolis.

  • Luxor West Bank Tour 75 USD per person

For those that wish to explore Luxor in-depth, this morning excursion allows you to travel back to the West Bank and explore more sites of Luxor city including the gorgeous temples of Habu, Ramesseum, and Deir El Medina.

Explore the bustling local bazaar at your leisure, finding out the sights, sounds, and wares purchasable. pick up a couple of if you like!

Drive from Luxor to Hurghada city on the stunning Red Sea. the rest of the day is free for relaxation, choose to relax and coddle on the beach.
After arriving in Hurghada, prepare to spend the following few days soaking within the tranquility of its white beach sands, and so the rich marine atmosphere of the Red Sea.

Day 10 :
Hurghada

Enjoy a day on a boat trip to the domestic islands and snorkel amid the crystal clear waters and amazing coral gardens of the Red Sea.
The Red Sea is a universal hotspot for snorkelling, thanks to its crystal clear waters and fantastic aquatic ecosystems. Explore the rich coral reefs and be overwhelmed with the volume of colourful coral and fish you encounter.

  • Snorkling Excursion In Geftun Island

Travel by boat to one of the Red Sea's neat snorkelling destinations, Giftun Island.
Dive and explore these stunning life of the coral reefs as you lose count of the different species of fish and crustaceans.

Catch an early flight from Hurghada to Cairo. Continue by private vehicle to Alexandria. On the way stop to visit the monasteries of Wadi Al Natrun

Travel by airplane and private bus to Alexandria, one of the ancient world's most important trade and cultural centers. Explore its many Greek, Roman, and Egyptian remains as you walk in the footprints of some of history's greatest gods.

Monasteries of Wadi Natrun

Take a tour with a regional monk at the monasteries of Wadi Natrun. The history of the Wadi and its importance to Coptic Christians dates back to the 4th century AD and that they form a number of the pioneer Christian monasteries within the world.

Day 12 :
Alexandria

Take a guided tour of the Alexandria Library, Catacombs, Pompey's Pillar, and Qaitbay Fort. Opt to dine on fantastic seafood OR explore the cities' cafés.

Get yourself prepared for a full day of exploring the many historical sites of Alexandria. Marvel at the resolute Citadel of Qaitbay, delve into the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, and explore the grounds of Pompey's Pillar, one of Egypt's most impressive Roman architectural works.

Fort Qaitbay Tour

Enjoy a visit to Fort Qaitbay, once considered one of the foremost important self-protective forts along the Mediterranean coast. It was a vital part of the fortification system of Alexandria within the 15th century AD.
The fort was built in front of the eastern harbor on the eastern side of Pharos Island, it was erected on the exact spot of the well-known Lighthouse of Alexandria. In the 14th century, there was a destructive earthquake and the whole structure was fully destroyed; the citadel you see now was constructed in its place.

Pompey's Pillar Tour

The name"Pompey's Pillar"is actually a misnomer, as it has nothing to do with Pompey, having been erected in 293 for Emperor Diocletian, perhaps in memory of the rebellion of Domitius Domitianus.

Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa Tour

These burials represent the last being major construction of the old Egyptian religion.
They were sculpted into the bedrock of Kom El Shoqafa in the 2nd century AD, the age of the Antonine Emperors for one wealthy family still practicing the old religion of Egypt.

Alexandria Library Tour

The Ancient Library of Alexandria was probably the largest and certainly the most well-known of the libraries of the ancient world. It flourished during the Greek empire and functioned as a major center of culture, until the time of the Roman rule in Egypt, and certainly for many centuries thereafter. The ancient library was burned down in a fire around the 1st century BC. The stunning new library was opened for the public in 2002 near the site of the ancient one.

Drive to El Alamein to Explore the World War cemeteries and memorials.

As we drive from Alexandria to Cairo, take a stop at the El Alamein World War memorials, and learn more about the pivotal battles that changed the course of the war in Africa. Afterward, continue on to the bustling metropolis of Cairo.

Cairo

We highly recommend booking post-accommodation to completely explore this vibrant city.

Our tour ends on arrival in Cairo in the hotel. Please remember that flight delays do normally often occur, so please don't book any onward flights before 4 pm that day.
